Khwab Ki Tabeer

There are three types of dreams:

1. Rehmaani (from Allah Almighty)

2. Nafsaani (from self)

3. shaytani (from Shaytaan).

The dreams of Prophets were revelations (Wahi) and were free of any influence of Shaytaan. Dreams of a normal man can be classified as true and false dreams. True dreams are those which become a reality, false dreams can be tricks and games from the Shaytaan or can be because of the influence of daytime thoughts. Shaytan has a big role in the occurrence of the dreams but recitation of Azkaar can keep him away.

It should be kept in mind that while telling a dream to anyone, one should not add anything to it and should not subtract anything from it. It is strictly forbidden in Islam to tell a lie about having a dream.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “If anyone of you has a dream that he likes then it is from Allah. He should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).According to a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari, bad dreams should not be mentioned to anyone.

Abu Qutaadah said: The Prophet (SAW) said: “Good dreams come from Allaah, and (bad) dreams come from Shaytaan. Whoever sees something that he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times and seek refuge with Allaah from the Shaytaan, for it will not harm him”(Muslim, 5864).

If a believer sees a good dream, he should praise Allah, feel happy and tell it to those whom he loves. If a believer happens to see a bad dream, it is recommended for him to seek refuge with Allah from the evil of the dream and the Shaytaan.

According to Imam Al-Baghavi, dreams can be interpreted in the light of the Quran, in the light of Sunnah, by means of proverbs that are common among the people, by names and by metaphors. Dream interpretations can be correct or they can completely miss the target as human interpretation cannot always be wholly trustworthy. The Prophet (SAW) has warned us that we should not take our dreams for interpretation to the wrong person and believe in his interpretation. Thus, we should take extra care regarding the person to which we are taking our dream for interpretation.

Les rêves des prophètes étaient des révélations (Wahi) et étaient libres de toute influence de Shaytaan. Les rêves d'un homme normal peuvent être classés comme rêves vrais et faux. Les vrais rêves sont ceux qui deviennent une réalité, les faux rêves peuvent être des tours et des jeux du Shaytan ou peuvent être dus à l'influence des pensées de la journée. Shaytan joue un rôle important dans la réalisation des rêves, mais la récitation d'Azkaar peut le tenir à l'écart.

Il faut garder à l’esprit que lorsqu’on raconte un rêve à qui que ce soit, il ne faut rien y ajouter et ne rien en soustraire. En Islam, il est strictement interdit de mentir à propos d'un rêve.

Le Prophète Muhammad (SAW) a déclaré: «Si quelqu'un d'entre vous a un rêve qu'il aime, c'est qu'il vient d'Allah. Il devrait remercier Allah pour cela et le raconter aux autres. »(Sahih Al-Bukhari) .Selon un hadith de Sahih Bukhari, aucun mauvais rêve ne devrait être mentionné à personne.

Abu Qutaadah a déclaré: Le Prophète (SAW) a déclaré: «Les bons rêves viennent d'Allah et les (mauvais) rêves de Shaytaan. Quiconque voit quelque chose qu'il n'aime pas, le laisse cracher à sa gauche trois fois et cherche refuge auprès d'Allah auprès du Shaytaan, car cela ne lui fera pas de mal »(Muslim, 5864).

Si un croyant voit un bon rêve, il devrait louer Allah, se sentir heureux et le dire à ceux qu'il aime. Si un croyant voit un mauvais rêve, il lui est recommandé de chercher refuge auprès d'Allah contre le mal du rêve et du Shaytaan.

Selon l'imam Al-Baghavi, les rêves peuvent être interprétés à la lumière du Coran, à la lumière de la Sunna, au moyen de proverbes courants parmi le peuple, par des noms et des métaphores. Les interprétations des rêves peuvent être correctes ou elles peuvent complètement rater la cible, car l’interprétation humaine ne peut pas toujours être entièrement fiable. Le Prophète (SAW) nous a averti que nous ne devrions pas interpréter nos rêves en mauvais sens et croire en son interprétation. Ainsi, nous devrions faire très attention à la personne à qui nous prenons notre rêve pour interprétation.
